About Red Leaf Psychology

Our Mission

We want to improve the mental health and wellness of children, youth, young adults, and their families through direct evidenced-based therapeutic services, classes and workshops, and training/consultation for providers in youth-serving systems.

Our Story

Red Leaf Psychology was born out of a frustration at the realization of the lack of quality, evidenced based, effective mental health options available to all families.

After working together for many years in community mental health, our group came together to figure out a way we could extend our reach to help more families and to disseminate our training expertise to more people.

We chose the symbol of the red leaf for our company because to many, the red leaf symbolizes change and transformation. For our families and providers we want your experience with us to feel transformative. We also want to help you make the changes in your life that you need.

The red leaf is also a little homage to the place we call home. We are housed in Sacramento, California, and are privileged to have some of the prettiest red leaved trees around.

Our Values

Red Leaf Psychology’s mission includes working to dismantle oppressive and racist systems that hurt everyone, not just those whom they attempt to opress.

We stand with black, indigenous and all people of color and are actively working towards becoming anti-racist.

We also strive to provide affirmative, inclusive and supportive therapy to folks of all genders and identities. We have staff who identify as LGBTQ+ and allies.
