Background:

My background spans various areas of children’s mental health, but I have specifically focused my career on finding ways to disseminate trauma-informed care and evidence-based treatments. I have a solid background in research and curriculum development, as well as developing universal mental health services aimed at de stigmatizing mental health in larger settings such as in schools and with community organizations.

I love working with children of all ages! My clinical experience has been focused on parent-child relationships, and I believe that you can use evidence-based principles to find the best way that works for any particular family. I have years of experience conducting groups for children ages ranging from preschool to pre-teens, and caregivers on various topics, including general social skills, managing difficult behaviors and understanding children’s development.

I also have extensive experience working with community organizations and schools, specifically working with them to determine needs and tailor those needs into measurable positive outcomes for children. I have been involved in adapting mental health interventions for schools, specifically focusing on supporting children’s emotional well-being and ensuring they have access to the resources they need to thrive.

I have been training others in different evidenced based treatment modalities for years and I am passionate about taking big concepts and breaking them down to make them easier to understand for those learning these in-depth treatments such as Parent-Child Interaction Therapy. Specifically, I am huge DPICS coding lover (some might say expert…17 years and counting coding and training others in it!) I am also a huge lover of technology and one of my favorite ways I get to support our team is to help find ways technology can help make things work smarter and not harder.

I am so excited to get to work with the various children, families, and our trainees and can’t wait to connect with all of our potential collaborators.
